Weller庐 recently introduced its WXD 2, a high-power soldering and desoldering station that features a 35-second heat-up time and extended product life. Unlike traditional units that take three minutes to heat up and are left on for an entire shift, the WXD 2 includes a motion sensor that automatically puts the tool in standby temperature when it鈥檚 not in use. Building that type of intelligence into the product not only lowers energy consumption, but also increases the life of the heating element and nozzles.
